Master Steven Elmore, 4th Degree Black Belt Owner/Master Instructor Evergreen TSD Academy

Master Elmore started Tang Soo Do in 1988 in Livonia, MI under Master Michael Romines, 7th Dan. In 1999 he began teaching at Grand Tradition Martial Arts in Swartz Creek, MI under Master Matt Ochs, 5th Dan, and soon became the chief instructor of that school. In 2002 he started his first school in Plymouth, MI. He relocated to Seattle, WA in 2004 and started Evergreen Tang Soo Do soon after. In 2008, he was promoted to 4th Dan Master by Grandmaster Jae C. Shin. Master Elmore is a certified master instructor in the World Tang Soo Do Association. In addition to Tang Soo Do, Master Elmore has trained in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and Judo.

Mr. Bruce Kuhn, 1st Degree Black Belt Assistant Instructor

Mr. Kuhn started training in Tang Soo Do in 2002 in Houston Texas, under Master Sharpe at Karate Masters, where he also studied Combat Hapkido. Mr. Kuhn moved to Seattle in the Spring of 2005 and began training under Master Elmore at Evergreen Tang Soo Do, as a brown belt. He earned his 1st degree black belt in October of 2007. In addition to Tang Soo Do, Mr. Kuhn is studying the art of Brazilian Jujitsu under Master Elmore. Mr. Kuhn is an assistant instructor for kids classes and a class instructor for adult classes.

Ms. Alaine Johnson, 1st Degree Black Belt Instructor Trainee/Assistant Kids Class Instructor

Ms. Johnson started training in Tang Soo Do in 2004 at the West Seattle YMCA. She achieved the rank of 1st Dan in 2008 and was the first Evergreen Tang Soo Do student to go from white belt to black belt under Master Elmore. Ms. Johnson is an active member of the Black Belt Club and a leader inside and outside the studio. Ms. Johnson currently assists in teaching the kids classes. |
